The authenticity of the English 'King' is debated by researchers. The first written mention of Arthur is from 829 AD, some 300 years after he was said to have existed.

The debate continues amongst historians - who argue that :

A) He was a former 'King' of England, and there is sufficient evidence to prove it.

B) He is an invention of folklore.
